Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd fry
  • Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd
  • 1 tbsp Grated dry Coconut
  • Sliced Onion
  • Chopped 2 Green Chillis
  • 1/4 tbsp Turmeric
  • 1 tbsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilli powder
  • Coreinder leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1/4 tbsp Cumin seeds(Jeera)
  • 1 tbsp Channa dhal
  • 1 tbsp Urad dhal
  • 2 tbsp Roasted Split chick peas powder
Preparation
  • Heat the 3 spoons of oil in pan over medium heat.
  • Place Mustrad seeds,Cumin seeds,Curry leaves,Onion slices,Channa Dhal,Urad Dhal in oil fry it for 2min.
  • place Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd Pieces,Turmeric,Salt,Coriander Powder,Coconut Powder fry untill Dondakaya cooked and turns color in low flame about 20min.
  • Add Red chilli powder fry for 2mins.
  • To add more taste : you can add Roasted chick Pea dhal powder and fry it for 1 min.
  • Garnish with Coriander leaves.
Tasty Dondakaya fry is ready to eat with Rice or Roti.
