Allu Curry ( Potato Curry )
Recipe Description
Delicious curry made of Allu/Potato and can eat with Rice or Roti.Main Ingredients
Potato.Ingredients
- 5 Potatoes
- Sliced Onion
- Chopped 2 Green Chillis
- 1/4 tbsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli powder
- 1 tbsp Ginger Slices
- 1 tbsp Garlic Slices
- Coreinder leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
- Curry Leaves
- 1/4 tbsp Cumin seeds(Jeera)
- 1 tbsp Channa dhal
- 1 tbsp Urad dhal
Preparation
- Boil Potatoes and cut it in to small pieces as shown in figure
- Heat the 4 spoons of oil in pan over medium heat.
- Place Mustrad seeds,Cumin seeds,Curry leaves,Channa Dhal,Urad Dhal in oil fry it for 2min.
- Place Garlic Slices,Ginger,Green Chillis,Onion slices fry untill onion turns Golden Brown color.
- place Potato Pieces,Turmeric,Salt,Coriander Powder,Red Chilli powder fry untill Potatoes turns golden color in low flame.
- To add more taste : you can add Roasted chick Pea dhal powder and fry it for 1 min.
- Garnish with Coriander leaves.
Tasty Potato curry is ready to eat with Rice or Roti.

This is absolutely gorgeous... I am going to attempt to make this tonight... where do you find the curry leaves? I live in Miami and have somewhat of a hard time finding specific chili's and herbs...

you can find curry leaves,spicy chilli's from most of Indian stores
