Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd fry
Recipe Description
Delicious curry made of Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd and can eat with Rice or Roti.Main Ingredients
Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd.Ingredients
- Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd
- 1 tbsp Grated dry Coconut
- Sliced Onion
- Chopped 2 Green Chillis
- 1/4 tbsp Turmeric
- 1 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tbsp Red Chilli powder
- Coreinder leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp Mustard seeds
- Curry Leaves
- 1/4 tbsp Cumin seeds(Jeera)
- 1 tbsp Channa dhal
- 1 tbsp Urad dhal
- 2 tbsp Roasted Split chick peas powder
Preparation
- Heat the 3 spoons of oil in pan over medium heat.
- Place Mustrad seeds,Cumin seeds,Curry leaves,Onion slices,Channa Dhal,Urad Dhal in oil fry it for 2min.
- place Dondakaya/Tindora/Ivy Gourd Pieces,Turmeric,Salt,Coriander Powder,Coconut Powder fry untill Dondakaya cooked and turns color in low flame about 20min.
- Add Red chilli powder fry for 2mins.
- To add more taste : you can add Roasted chick Pea dhal powder and fry it for 1 min.
- Garnish with Coriander leaves.
Tasty Dondakaya fry is ready to eat with Rice or Roti.
