Urad Dhal and Rice Dosa Batter Mix
Recipe Description
Dosa Mix to prepare hot hot dosa.Main Ingredients
Rice and Urad DhalIngredients
- 2 cups Urad Dhal
- 3 cups Rice
- pinch of soda-bi-carb(Baking Soda)
- 1 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds (Menthulu, Methi)
Preparation
- Soak Urud Dhal,Rice and the Fenugreek(methi) seeds together in a bowl over 6 hours.
- Wash and grind Rice,Urud Dhal, methi Seeds in to fine smooth paste add little water while grinding.
- Add pinch of soda to the batter
- Allow it to ferment overnight(If You Don't want Dosa to be sour ,keep it in Refrigerator).
- In people in cold climates: if you have an oven, just turn the oven light on and leave the vessel in the oven, or if you have a stove with a pilot light, keep the vessel over the pilot light.
- The next day, stir the batter well to make sure it has a pouring consistency (add water as necessary) and add salt to taste.
Dosa Mix is ready to prepare Varieties of Dosa.
