Pulusu Podi/Sambar Podi (Pulusu Powder)

Recipe Description
Spicy Power used to mix in most varieties of Andhra Style Pulusu curry( made with Tamarind pulp).

Main Ingredients
Red dried Chillis(Endhu merapa kayalu) .
Ingredients
  • Red dries Chilli's - 100gms
  • Chana Dhal - 50gms
  • Urad Dhal - 30gms
  • Coriander(Dhaniyalu) seeds - 50gms
  • Methi(menthulu) seeds - 15gms
  • Asafoetida (Hing, Inguva) - 5gms
Preparation
  • Heat 4 tbsp of oil in pan over medium heat
  • Fry Hing in oil,and take fried Hing separatly.
  • Fry Dry Red Chilli's (Endhu merapa kayalu),and take it separatly.
  • Fry Chana Dhal,Urad Dhal,Coriander Seeds,Methi Seeds in oil,fry untill raw smell disappears.
  • Allow them to cool.
  • Grind all fried ingredients together in to fine powder.
Note:You can prepare large quatity and stock it for 6 months and can use when ever your want.
Spicy Pulusu Podi is ready to use with all varieties of pulusu currys
