Tomato and pepper Rasam ( Tamarind Soup )

Recipe Description
Delicious Rasam made with Tomatoes,Tamarind,Rasam powder can eat with Rice.

Main Ingredients
Tomatoes,Tamarind,Rasam powder.
Ingredients
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp Rasam Powder
  • Garlic Slices
  • 1/2 tbsp Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tbsp Mustread Seeds
  • 1/2 size Lemon Tamarind
  • Red Chilli
  • Coriander Leaves
  • 1 pinch Hing/asaefoetida(Inguva)
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp Cooked Toor Dhal(Optional)
Preparation
  • Mash the garlic with a whisk.
  • Mix water,Tomato Paste,Tamarind Pulp,Rasam Powder,salt,Cooked Toor Dhal Keep it aside.
  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in pan over medium heat.
  • Place Mustread seeds,Cumin seeds,Red Chilli,Curry Leaves,Mashed Garlic,asaefoetida in oil,fry it for 2 mins.
  • Place Tomato juice,Tamarind Pulp,Water,Rasam Powder,salt,Cooked Toor Dhal mix in oil,Cook them for about 10-15 mins. Don’t allow them to boil, turn off the heat once the form appears.
  • Garnish with Coriander Leaves.
Hot Hot Rasam is ready to eat with Rice,Ghee and Dhal.
