Rasam Powder (Charu Podi)

Recipe Description
Spicy Power used to mix in Andhra style Rasam( made with Tamarind pulp).

Main Ingredients
Toor Dhal,Black Pepper.
Ingredients
  • Toor Dhal-100grm
  • Cumin Seeds(Jeera/Jilakara)-25grm
  • Black Pepper(Miriyalu)-25grm
  • Red Dry Chilli's(Endu Mirapa kayalu)-5 pieces
Preparation
  • Heat 1 tbsp of oil in pan over medium heat
  • Fry Dry Red Chilli's (Endhu merapa kayalu),and take it separatly.
  • Fry Toor Dhal,Cumin Seeds,Black Pepper,Red Dry Chilli's in oil,fry it for 5 min.
  • Allow them to cool.
  • Grind all fried ingredients together in to fine powder.
Note:You can prepare large quatity and stock it for 6 months and can use when ever your want.
Spicy Rasam Podi is ready to use with all varieties of Rasam.
